Ideas:
1) setup a twitter hash-tag, public twitter account for new immigrants/undocumented workers, although this presumes twitter usage.
2) Recruit journalism grads, create a spot.us pitch to raise lean funds for a story a month. Promote the hell out of it.
3) Setup a public storytelling blog where immigrants can post their own stories anonymously. New blog posts are sent out to twitter/facebook followers.
The stories need only be simple to be compelling. There are some good ones here as an example.
