    Stumptown and Intelligentsia are two of my favs. There's a ton of information about their beans and farmers on their website. In all likelihood, Local isn't happening... but organic and sustainabe are very possible. I'm also a big fan of Cafe grumpy, who roast their beans right here in Greenpoint Brooklyn :). I do need to find out more about where/who they come from

    i did this in brooklyn heights - love the locals, even though they are sometimes more expensive. extra bonus > lemon angel food cake. omg, delectable.
