Don't threaten, belittle or otherwise undermine the intelligence of those who oppose you. It only breeds contempt and their anger will remove any possibility of them seeing things from your view. Not to mention, you want to make someone feel comfortable enough to come to you if they have questions - which won't happen if they feel ridiculed by you.
